New Year to Send 4 Sysco Execs Higher

SYSCO Corp. has made several promotions:

* Michael W. Green has been named executive vice president, Northeast and North Central US foodservice operations. Green is currently senior vice president of the company's Midwest region broadline companies.

* Stephen F. Smith has been promoted to executive vice president, South and West US food service operations. Smith currently serves as senior vice president of the company's Southeast region broadline companies.

* Scott A. Sonnemaker has been promoted to senior vice president of SYSCO's Portland, OR company. He is currently president of the same operations. In his new role, Sonnemaker will have responsibility for the West region.

* John E. Nolan, executive vice president of the Portland operation, will assume responsibilities as president of the company, succeeding Sonnemaker.

All appointments are effective 1 January 2008, according to the online edition of Trading Markets.
