Message from the President. Industries are consolidating all around us, and the
food distribution industry is a perfect example. Consolidation
in an industry means that it is maturing, and as it
does, it drives out those competitors who are at a disadvantage.
EQuaNet was created to help equalize the position of
smaller companies with respect to their mega competitors
by using technology and proven industry methods with
new strategies.
We designed our company and its services from a distributor's
and manufacturer's perspective, which many consulting
firms can not do because they lack specific industry
knowledge and experience. I have been a Chief Financial
Officer for Sysco and Unifax, a Vice President of Biggers
Brothers, Kings Foodservice, Bevaco Foodservice, and
Roanoke Restaurant Service. Additionally, in 1988 I
was very instrumental in the $205 million leveraged
buy-out that created Unifax. Working side by side with
Frank Bevevino, CEO of Bevaco, and others I enjoyed
a once in a lifetime learning experience that few CFO's
are ever blessed with. I was a stockholder as well as
an executive, I learned what it was like to be an entrepreneur.
